Chow Yun Fat teases Donnie Yen for receding hairline

Tuesday, June 18, 2013 Posted by lucychoi559 0 comments
The star-studded cast of The Monkey King, Chow Yun Fat, Donnie Yen and Aaron Kwok, arrived at the press conference venue in Shanghai on Harley Davidson motorbikes reportedly worth HK$4 million (approximately S$650,000) last weekend.

At the event, 58-year-old Chow Yun Fat flung his hair to show off his new hairstyle and asked reporters if he had “grown younger”. He even went on to tease his co-star Donnie for not having “much hair left”.

The duo continued their good-natured bickering on stage, displaying their good relationship, while Aaron appeared unusually quiet at the press conference.

Yun Fat took another jibe at the martial arts star after he learned about Donnie’s lead role at the film’s press conference. “So you are the main character of the show. Then we shall leave now,” he joked. “Donnie is a god, Aaron is a cow and I am a human. That’s why I had a relaxing time filming this movie.”
Jokes and laughter aside, Yun Fat also sang praises of Donnie, who will double up as an action director in the film, for his professionalism in both action and artistic presentations. “He is the number one male action star,” he said.

Donnie reportedly spent five hours in hair and makeup, and required an hour to remove the thick makeup after filming. He had to take a break from the shoot every two days for his skin to get supple rest.

As seen from the trailer released last Sunday, Donnie plays “Monkey King” while Chinese actress Zhang Zilin and actor Hai Yitian take on the roles of “Nuwa” (a goddess in ancient Chinese mythology) and “Bodhi ancestor” respectively in the movie. The imaging of the other cast members will only be revealed when the movie is released at the end of the year.

The Monkey King also features Taiwanese actress Joe Chen and actor Peter Ho.

Oliver Stone has always paid attention to To Kei Fung's films. He thought that To Kei Fung's films were full of cold violent aesthetics, which he enjoyed very much. Thus he looked forward to BLIND DETECTIVE very much. "The film has already been sold to Europe, North America and Australia markets. If I don't watch it while I am in Shanghai, I will when I return to the U.S." To Kei Fung also appreciated Oliver Stone's films. "His movies have critical thinking of the society."

Andy Lau Overestimates Himself

Andy Lau Tak Wa two days ago promoted the film BLIND DETECTIVE (MAN TAM) with Sammi Cheng Sau Man and director Johnnie To Kei Fung at the Shanghai International Film Festival. Although BLIND DETECTIVE had decent response from its Cannes Film Festival screening, the recently released SWITCH (TIN GEI FU CHUN SHAN GUI TOH) was just the opposite. Many online slammed it as a rotten film. Wa Jai was asked about SWITCH's tidal wave of poor reviews and felt very awkward. He smiled and replied, "I have a lot of flaws, film selection is one of them. I am the type of person who overestimates my own vision, thinking that many movie in my hands would become good. Next time I will perform a little better, sorry, sorry!"

Wa Jai said that he would learn from his failure and hoped that individual cases would not affect BLIND DETECTIVE's box office. "I felt sorry, I hoped everyone would keep them separate. I performed in SWITCH, which had nothing to do with other people or movies. I don't know how much of an impact it will have, which is something that I have no way to think of." To Kei Fung joked, "He always after making a few good movies runs into a rotten film."

Moses Chan's Unborn Baby Has Been Prospering Him

Posted by lucychoi559 0 comments

Moses Chan's "double happiness" has led to his rise in popularity and increase of jobs. It has been widely rumored he's become really expensive and his unborn baby has brought him prosperity.

This is Moses' third year as the spokesperson for Saint Honore Cake Shop. Yesterday he appeared dressed like a magician in a white suit for the mooncake advertisement shooting. Saint Honore's representative gave Moses coupons and a wedding cake to celebrate his marriage. Moses joked: "I want to give out mooncakes!" With happiness written all over, Moses thanked the heavens for all its care and thanked clients for their long-term support, but he denied that he's expensive to hire. When asked whether the baby inside Aimee's stomach is prosperous to him as a father? Moses smiled sweetly: "OK! But I can't say anything yet. (When can you talk about this?) When the time is right, I will tell you."

A magazine reported Aimee is 10 weeks pregnant and even photographed her pregnant look. Moses denied on his wife's behalf. When speaking of Aimee's plan to retire from the industry? Moses said: "Don't break Aimee's career path. She has lots of potential, it would be a waste if she stops acting. She can be a mother and an artist. There could be a balance to both sides."

Someone suggested TVB help him host the wedding banquet and do a live broadcast of it? Nancy had three friends pretending to be listeners calling in, and kept asking Johnson strange questions. They also wanted to apply to be part of Johnson's "Practical Joke Team". One of the staff, pretending to be an enthusiastic Johnson fan, waited for him at the radio station. When Johnson got the sign, "Congrats, Johnson Lee has just been pranked!" He suddenly realized a practical joke was just played on him. He expressed: "So thoughtful and well planned. (Add more episodes?) I may have to take a year off before I do another one, but I'll change the style of the practical jokes. My artist friends aren't afraid of me. Marco Ngai rationalises split with Joyce Tang

Posted by Admin 0 comments

Marco Ngai is upset with public's view of him for the past five years since he broke up with his girlfriend of nine years, Joyce Tang, in 2007 and explained to the public about the rationale behind their breakup.

As reported on Groove Asia, the actor, who appeared on the Chinese reality show, "Battle Of The Sexes" expressed that it was unfair of the public to blame him solely for the breakup, saying that their negative views influenced his career negatively.

Marco stated that his decision to not marry Joyce was not made without consideration, and added that he had read an article about the probability of divorce among couples that have dated for more than three years.

"I did some reading and according to statistics, those who get married after being in a relationship for seven to eight years have a higher divorce rate rather than those who were dating for less than three years," the actor explained, and his wife, mainlander Zhang Lihua agreed with him.

When asked on her opinion about Marco's statement, Joyce, who got engaged to her non-celebrity boyfriend Matthew Chu early this year, stressed that she is not disturbed by the statement, saying that Marco plays no importance in her life anymore.

Marco Ngai and Joyce Tang met at the set of "Armed Reaction" in 1998 and dated for nine years before they called it quits. He then caused a controversy when he married mainland student Zhang Lihua in 2008 as she was only 19.

The lack of a Hong Kong Film Award for Sammi last time left him fuming for ten years. He praised Sammi, "Being able to perform a comedy as relaxed and naturally as her was very rare." As for Wai Ka Fai he only wanted to make Wa Jai and Sammi even more amazing.

Wa Jai said that in the film Sammi slapped him. He has never been hit like that in his life, Sammi was the only one. He also said that originally his eyes were the most powerful, but To Sir kept him from using them. With To Sir and Wa Jai's support for Best Actress, Sammi thanked them for the room to demonstrate her skills. She said that if Wa Jai was coffee, To Sir was milk, she was sugar and screen writer Yau Nai Hoi was the cup.

To Sir was asked if he felt Wa Jai's performance in the film resembled his personality. He joked that if he was Wa Jai he would be rich! To Sir felt that Wa Jai's performance was not too similar to him, but everyone thought it was. He hoped to switch identities with Wa Jai. He would star while Wa Jai directed. To Sir joked that To Sir would have a tougher time with intimate scenes and have to lose weight for bed scenes.

Yen Chi Tan described the Monkey King character as sexy and spellbinding. Sing sing said that the Bull Demon King was responsible for the magical fantasy.

Yen Chi Tan was the lead actor and the action director. He revealed that the Monkey King's make up took 5 hours everyday before work. After the shoot he also had to spend 1 hour to remove the make up. When he did not have a scene, he also was responsible for the action direction. Was he willing to accept this challenge again? He admitted that he was afraid. "This type of work has huge impact on my own health and psychological pressure. Thus it's impossible to withstand this 'monkey punishment' again!"

Fat Gor, Sing Sing and Yen Chi Tan also discussed the fight scenes. Their review of Yen Chi Tan was "the best fighting actor"; they thought that his professionalism, his pursuit of action kung fu and art all coordinated with this title. Yen Chi Tan said that he was very pleased with his Monkey King portrayal and said that it was sexy and charming. Just the monkey fur alone already had many under his spell. With Fat Gor admitting to be romantic and Yen Chi Tan sexy, Sing Sing did not join in. He said, "My character was responsible for the film's magical fantasy. Song Hye-Kyo Promotes The Grandmasters

Posted by lucychoi559 0 comments

Korean diva Song Hye-Kyo has always been rumored to be upset at how long THE GRANDMASTERS (YUT DOI JUNG SI) production time was and how his role was reduced to only 6 minutes, thus she was at odds with director Wong Kar Wai. However, they finally overcame their differences as they attended the 2013 China Film Festival opening ceremony in Seoul. Tony Leung Chiu Wai appeared with his on screen wife Song Hye-Kyo on the left and companion "Gong er" Zhang Ziyi on the right. Wai Jai even praised Song Hye-Kyo as a very charming actress.

"All encounters would ultimately lead to a reunion", which was a classic line from THE GRANDMASTERS. Song Hye-Kyo and Wong Kar Wai yesterday reunited in Seoul, did it feel like a reunion after a long time apart for them? "Ip Man" Leung Chiu Wai's wife Song Hye-Kyo never appeared to assist with THE GRANDMASTERS promotion from its production wrap to release. Reportedly she felt that she "waited more than shot", the production dragged on too long and her role was reduced, thus she was very upset. After her contract ended she could only leave the team. At the same time, because her role was reduced to 6 minutes, the other lead actress Zhang Ziyi stole the spotlight. Song Hye-Kyo thus was rather upset as well.

When the film was released, Song Hye-Kyo claimed that she was in a production and thus was unable to promote. This time THE GRANDMASTERS was invited to be the Korea "2013 China Film Festival" opening film. She dispelled the dispute rumor and showed her support. She had no grievance with Zhang Ziyi and chatted often. They later will work together on John Woo (Ng Yu Sum)'s film. This time was a warm up, otherwise when they worked together they would be rumored to be at odds again.

Wai Jai had two great beauties with him. When he left the stage he even lightly gave Song Hye-Kyo a hand and attentively took care of this on screen wife. After the opening ceremony they caught up at dinner. Wai Jai's assistant posted the photos online. Wong Kar Wai sat with Song Hye-Kyo. Wai Jai lightly embraced Zhang Ziyi. All the dispute rumors were swept away.

Wai Jai said that although it was his first collaboration with Song Hye-Kyo, he has watched her television series long ago. "When I watched her television series she felt that she was as cute and pretty like a young girl. When we worked together on the film, I realized that she displayed a completely different side that was also very charming and felt even more mature." Wai Jai praised Song Hye-Kyo and the film's era as rather well matched, and she was a very charming actress.

Vincy Chan's "Free" Turns into Most Erotic Album in HK

Yesterday Vincy Chan was at a CD store in Mongkok promoting for her new album Free (我自在). Good friend Michelle Wai was there to support her and gave her a hot and sexy bikini. Michelle said: "I can estimate her size. I bought her a medium, she probably will feel like its suffocating." Lately there has been a lot of gossip around Vincy's new album. Aside from Netizens turning the album into a "porn CD", there is also a video clip secretly taken of Vincy in her "lady's bedroom" that circulated online.

Vincy expressed the concept of her album is a lady's bedroom. Netizens dismantled the album and said each of the 10 songs describes each step in bedroom sex. Vincy did not mind, she said: "I know some people said my album is the most erotic album in Hong Kong. They even described each song title as the before and after of activity in the bedroom. Actually it fits pretty well, but of course that is not my original meaning! (Speaks in your experience?) Er... its close, but I never thought Deep White Color would be understood as the peak!" Asked if her album should be listened to during sex? She laughed: "If can follow the rhythm then its OK!"

To promote for her album, Vincy didn't hesitate to put herself on the table. It turns out the source of the video clip that circulated online was Vincy herself! She said: "Actually I was the one who put the video online. There are so many practical joke shows lately, so I decided to play a practical joke on everyone as well. Just joking with you all!"
